Annie Suganami

Annie Morgan Suganami born in Aberystwyth , Wales in 1952 . An artist, musician and performer, she has lived and travelled worldwide and is currently based in Aberystwyth after graduating from Cardiff School of Art and Design in 2014.

Informed among other things by photography and abstraction Suganami aims to explore the human condition and make figurative painting speak with a contemporary voice where the personal suggests the universal.

She is currently working on her bi-lingual, multi-disciplinary, autobiographical show and will begin her tour of Wales/UK with with an opening show at MOMA, Y Tabernacl, Machynlleth, Wales on June 5th 2015 and will also open her solo exhibition in the Tannery Gallery on the same night. Her exhibition runs for three weeks.

She is a working portrait artist and takes commissions.

 

 

Studied flute at Royal Academy of Music, London/performer/composer/singer-songwriter/artist/painting,drawing.

 

​Lived in NSW, Queensland, Aus., Labrador, Yukon, Canada, Kuwait, Vienna. Toured extensively in Britain, Norway,USA and Canada.
